Here is a MIDI file of Handel's Largo from Xerxes. How many of you know this song was about a shade tree of all things?
Benjamin is my 7th grandchild and Handel's music is almost as beautiful as he is. I tried to post a WAV of this, but it just would not go through. You will get the idea anyway. I think this is one of the most beautiful songs of the great composers. I wrote this hoping to get it published for concert band, but there are many other arrangements available. You will here a lot of going back and forth between the brass section and the woodwinds. Enjoy.
